保存条件 Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

The protein encoded by this gene is a brain fatty acid binding protein. Fatty acid binding proteins (FABPs) are a family of small, highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins that bind long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands. FABPs are thought to play roles in fatty acid uptake, transport, and metabolism. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Function:
FABP are thought to play a role in the intracellular transport of long chain fatty acids and their acyl-CoA esters. Binds oleic and palmitic acids but not palmitoyl CoA.

Subunit:
Monomer.

Subcellular Location:
Cytoplasm.

Tissue Specificity:
Expressed in brain and other neural tissues.

Similarity:
Belongs to the calycin superfamily. Fatty-acid binding protein (FABP) family.
