When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

Cbx8, also known as Pc3, is a member of the Polycomb gene family and is required to maintain the transcriptionally repressive state of many genes, including Hox genes, throughout development. Cbx8 contains a chromodomain and is able to modify chromatin and histones.

Function:
Component of a Polycomb group (PcG) multiproteinPRC1-like complex, a complex class required to maintain thetranscriptionally repressive state of many genes, including Hoxgenes, throughout development. PcG PRC1 complex acts via chromatinremodeling and modification of histones; it mediatesmonoubiquitination of histone H2A 'Lys-119', rendering chromatinheritably changed in its expressibility.

Subunit:
Component of a PRC1-like complex. Interacts with RING1RNF2, PCGF1, PCGF2, PCGF3, BMI1, PCGF5 AND PCGF6. Interacts withMLLT3 and histone H3. Interacts with PHC2 (By similarity).

Nucleus.
